Abstract
2-Amino-5-aryl-substituted-1,3,4-thiadiazoles (1) have been refluxed w ith benzoyl isothiocyanate to get -aryl-substituted-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2 -yl]-N-benzoyl thioureas (1a). These on refluxing with PCl5 and POCl3 give ,4-thiadiazolo[3,2-a]-s-triazin-5-phenyl-7-thiones (3). Compound 1 on refluxing with chloroacetic acid and anhydrous sodium acetate giv es ituted-aryl-imidazo[2,1-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazol-5-ones (2). The compoun ds have been screened for antifungal activities.
