Abstract
As the time duration of an electromagnetic pulse becomes shorter the b andwidth of the pulse increases. This presents a problem in the select ion of a frequency for the calculation of the effective E field. This paper discusses a method for calculating the effective E field of a sh ort electromagnetic pulse.
