Finger and palm prints of 50 CTEV (Congenital Talipes Equino Varus) pa
tients were collected and analysed for various dermatoglyphic features
and compared with the control series comprising of 57 individuals fro
m the same region, Among the features which appear to be most signific
antly correlated with CTEV are, (i) a distinctly high value of mean a-
b. b-c and c-d ridge counts on palm and (ii) a clear tendency for prox
imal displacement of the axial triradius and a considerably lowered va
lue of mean atd. angle.
