Abstract
We demonstrate in PC12 cells that although nerve growth factor, forsko lin or potassium-evoked depolarisation independently induced minimal o r no expression from the rat preprotachykinin-A gene (rPPT) promoter l inked to a reporter gene, exposure of the cells to various combination s of these stimuli specifically activated the rPPT promoter in transie nt transfection assays.
