Here we report the microscopic variational model calculations for the
recently available experimental data on transition charge densities (T
CD) of Pd-104,Pd-106,Pd-108,Pd-110 nuclei employing ''quadrupole-quadr
upole plus pairing interactions'' operating in the 2p(1/2), 1g(9/2), 2
d(5/2), 3s(1/2), 2d(3/2), 1g(7/2), and 1h(11/2) valance spaces. Result
s for different p-n interaction strenghts are also given. It is seen t
hat TCD, being sensitive to the strength parameters, can act as one of
the best means for the fixing of these parameters accurately. The res
ults of TCD calculations, for quadrupole excitations, using the p-n in
teraction strength parameter chi(pi nu) = -0.0231 MeV b(-4), are in ex
cellent agreement. The calculated static properties from the Hartree-F
ock-Bogoliubov (HFB) model, employed for TCD calculations, are also in
good agreement. Deivation in the TCD results for hexadecupole transit
ions points toward the need for some modifications so as to simulate t
he other interaction effects.
