Double differential cross sections for (p,n) quasifree scattering on p
-shell nuclei, Li-6,Li-7, B-10,B-11, and C-12,C-13, have been measured
at an incident proton energy of 186 MeV between theta(lab) = 0 degree
s and theta(lab) = 50 degrees in steps of 5 degrees. The normal polari
zation transfer coefficient, analyzing power, and induced polarization
were also measured at theta(lab) = 0 degrees, 15 degrees, and 20 degr
ees using an incident proton beam of transverse polarization. Calculat
ions by some competing quasifree models are presented and compared wit
h the experimental results.
