Abstract
New cluster [HRu3(CO)10(C7H8N)] was synthesized by the reaction of dec acarbonyltriruthenium with p-toluidine in benzene. The structure was c haracterized by IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and elemental analysis. H-1 NMR show that the cluster contains ruthenium-hydrogen end bond, An X-ray d iffraction analysis of the cluster has unequivocally established its s tructure. The cluster crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space gro up P2(1/c), a = 1.3816(2)nm, b = 0.9941(2)nm, c = 1.6005(2)nm, alpha = gamma = 90.00(0)degrees, beta = 98.39(1)degrees, V = 2.1747(6)nm3, Z = 4, mu = 20.70cm-1, D(c) = 2.11g/cm3, F(000) = 1320, final R = 0.0311 and R(w) = 0.0283 based on 3790 independent reflections with I greate r-than-or-equal-to 3sigma(I).
