Abstract
The average dissipative conductance of an array of mesoscopic rings, s ubject to an a.c. magnetic flux, is investigated. The magnitude and si gn of the magnetoconductance is found to depend on the statistical ens emble (canonical or grand-canonical), the temperature and inelastic le vel broadening.
