Abstract
Measurements of ac magnetic susceptibility of bulk Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3Oy and compounds containing noble-metal additives were carried out to investi gate the effects of chemical doping and-penetration of magnetic field into the intergranular region. Significant enhancement of the intergra nular critical current density was demonstrated in Tl-based ceramic su perconductors with Au and Ag doping. Methods for convenient determinat ion of the intergranular weak-link phase-locking temperature and avera ge lower critical field in the bulk granular superconductors are discu ssed.
