Abstract
The universe observed at hectometer (i.e. hundreds of meters) waveleng ths differs from its appearance at shorter wavelengths as day differs from night. In order to reach the ground, long wavelength radiation ha s to penetrate the ionosphere. In the northern hemisphere, the most tr ansparent place is located near Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
