emolytic anemias. These disorders include hemoglobinopathies, red cell
enzyme deficiency disorders, and abnormalities of the red cell membra
ne. Particular emphasis is devoted to the relatively common hemoglobin
disorders, including sickle cell disease and thalassemia syndromes.
