Abstract
A survey of existing turbulence models for particulate turbulence modu lation in two-phase flows is carried out and an improved model for con sidering the effects of the dispersed phase on the turbulence of the c arrier phase is suggested. The appropriate empirical constants in the turbulence model is determinated according to the available experiment al data. An improvement of the numerical prediction of available exper imental data is observed as compared with previous numerical results.
