Abstract
Screening of prostate cancer in asymptomatic men over 50 years is subj ect to discussion. A review of the medical and economical arguments in favor and against screening is given. It is concluded that widespread screening should not be undertaken but that correct information of th e population is necessary with an adapted response to individual deman ds.
