Abstract
The effect of dithiothreitol and sodium thioglycollate on protoplast p roduction of S. cerevisiae was investigated. When dithiothreitol was u sed as pretreatment and added to an enzymatic solution favorable resul ts were obtained starting at 30 min. of digestion. When sodium thiogly collate was used as pretreatment and added to the same solution, proto plast production was inhibited.
