Abstract
A rat cDNA encoding the prolyl 4-hydroxylase alpha subunit (P4H alpha) was isolated and sequenced. The primary aa sequence deduced from the nucleotide sequence reveals a 534-aa protein that shows extensive aa i dentity with the human (88%) and chick (77%) P4H alpha.
