Abstract
N-MethyI-D-aspartate receptor blockade by MK-801 produced changes in t he baroreceptor related component of pre-ganglionic sympathetic discha rges in kittens. Spectral analyses carried out on sympathetic and bloo d pressure signals demonstrated: (a) a marked reduction in amplitude o f peaks, 2-6 Hz range, in sympathetic autopower spectra and (b) a subs tantial decrease of coherence between sympathetic and blood pressure s ignals in the 2-6 Hz range.
