Mm. Geng, ELECTROCHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF MMNI(5)-BASED ALLOY POWDER COATEDWITH PALLADIUM AND NICKEL-PALLADIUM, Journal of alloys and compounds, 215(1-2), 1994, pp. 151-153
Negative electrodes consisting of Mm(0.9)Ti(0.1)Ni(3.9)Mn(0.4)Co(0.4)A
l(0.3) (Mm, misch metal) alloy powder were modified using palladium (P
d) and nickel-palladium (Ni-Pd). The crystal cell volume expansion was
about 9.0% after coating with 10 wt.% Ni-Pd on the powder surface. Th
e utilization efficiency of the discharge capacity of the alloy electr
odes coated with Pd and 10 wt.% Ni-Pd increased. The high rate dischar
geability was also significantly improved by coating with Pd and 10 wt
.% Ni-Pd.
