Abstract
Electrical resistivity (rho) and thermopower (S) measurements have bee n performed in the temperature range 3.5-300 K on both LaRh2Si2 and th e heavy fermion compounds Ce(Rh1-xRux)(2)Si-2. The rho(T) and S(T) cur ves for LaRh2Si2 reveal that the thermopower and electrical resistivit y in the Ce(Rh1-xRux)(2)Si-2 compounds essentially reflect the rather anomalous scattering arising from the Ce ions. The thermal dependences of rho and S in these compounds are compared with those observed in o ther heavy fermion compounds. The thermopower is analysed with an expr ession deduced by Gotwick et al. assuming a lorentzian form for the re sonance density of states.
