Abstract
Spleen cells of C57B1/6 mice immunized twice with Schistosoma mansoni cercariae attenuated by ultraviolet irradiation proliferated and produ ced interleukin-(Il)-2 and/or Il-4 in response to both soluble schisto somular and adult worm antigens of 72-68, 60-62, 50, 45, 29.5 and 28 k Da. All of these bands, except the 45 kDa, were also recognized by ser um antibodies in Western blotting.
