Abstract
From the nuclear spin rotation of implanted Fe-54 nuclei, we have dete rmined the local susceptibility, the spin dynamics, and the width of t he distribution of local magnetic fields of Au1-xFex (x = 10(-4) 5 x 1 0(-2) at. %) spin glasses far above the freezing temperature. The widt h of this distribution was found to be proportional to the freezing te mperature. The mean field freezing temperature, as obtained from the f ield distribution, was found to be a factor of 5 higher than the exper imentally observed freezing temperature.
