Abstract
This paper describes the key technologies of an automated optical main -distributing-frame system for the Fiber-To-The-Home network. The syst em consists of an optical matrix-board with a groove at each cross-poi nt and a precision robot mechanism that manipulates refractive index m atching oil. Experimental results for a prototype model confirm the fe asibility of lightwave cross-connection.
