Abstract
Intramolecular glycosylation of a pyrimidine derivative, which was tem porarily connected to a 2,3-unsaturated 1-thiopentofuranoside through an ethereal linkage, led to an unusual 3'-isomeric nucleoside in a ste reoselective fashion.
