Abstract
The high voltage power supply for magnetron, used for the modular micr owave generators in industrial applications, is of a classical design: a single phase leakage flux transformer supplying a cell, composed of a capacitor and a diode, which multiplies the voltage and stabilizes the current. A pi model of this transformer is developed, taking the s aturation phenomena and the stabilization process of the magnetron cur rent into account. Three inductances are characterized by the non line ar relations between flux and magnetizing current. This model was test ed by E.M.T.P. software (Electro-Magnetic Transients Program), near th e nominal state. The theoretical results were compared to experimental measurements with a good agreement.
