Abstract
New, synthetically accessible, soluble, stable all-carbon-backbone pol ymers are reported. The polytriacetylenes (see Fig.) represent an inte rmediate step between polydiacetylenes and carbyne and as such are of interest as alternatives for known conjugated polymers. The synthesis, film casting, and interesting properties are discussed.
