Abstract
A novel and efficient synthesis of a number of 2-(substituted amino)be nzoxazoles is described. 6-Chloro-2-phenoxybenzoxazole (3) reacts smoo thly with a series of aliphatic primary amines 4a-j to give 6-chloro-2 -(substituted amino)benzoxazoles 5a-j at room temperature in the prese nce of excess of amines.
