DIFFERENTIAL EXPRESSION OF HSP90, GELSOLIN AND GST-PI IN HUMAN GASTRIC-CARCINOMA CELL-LINES

We have analyzed proteins produced in Various human gastric carcinoma cell lines and normal gastric mucosa. The production of HSP90 increase d in eight gastric carcinoma cell lines. Gelsolin content was down-reg ulated in seven gastric carcinoma cell lines. Furthermore, the product ion of GST-pi increased in a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma cell line and two scirrhous gastric carcinoma cell lines. These results su ggest that increased production of HSP90 and down-regulation of gelsol in play an important role in gastric carcinogenesis, and that abundant production of GST-pi is related to unique behavior of some scirrhous gastric carcinomas.
