Abstract
Binary sequences and arrays with low sidelobes in their periodic autoc orrelation function are required e.g. in communication engineering, in Radar or in coded aperture imaging. It is demonstrated that in many c ases sequences and arrays with better correlation properties can be co nstructed by using the odd-autocorrelation. Especially the synthesis o f odd-perfect, near-binary sequences and arrays is possible up to arbi trary sizes.
