On. Silchenkova et al., INTERMEDIATE SPECIES IN THE REACTION OF LOW-TEMPERATURE OXIDATION OF AMMONIA ON ZNO, Kinetics and catalysis, 35(5), 1994, pp. 708-712
Quantitative spectrokinetic measurements in steady-state and non-stead
y-state regimes (simultaneous measurements of the reaction rate and co
ncentration of surface compounds), show that a surface complex N2O(ads
) is the intermediate of the reaction of ammonia oxidation on ZnO. Dec
omposition of this complex leads to the release of a reaction product
(N2O) in the gas phase.
