Heterogeneous catalytic allylation of bicyclo[2.2.1]hepta-2,5-diene (B
CHD) by allyl acetate in the presence of the immobilized modified ally
lnickel catalyst is accompanied by the hydride transfer and results in
the adducts of BCHD and C3H4 fragment. Unlike the homogeneous process
, 5-methylene-6-vinylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptene-2 is the predominant produc
t, whose yield reaches 80 - 85%. The ratio of the adducts depends on t
he temperature.
