Abstract
The change in the circuit inductance of a pulsed MHD generator as the plasma sheet travels along the electrodes acts to increase the voltage produced in the generator. The paper explains how unconventional elec trode arrangements enable this effect to be significantly magnified, t hereby bringing about a considerable increase in the output that can b e obtained.
