Abstract
A video assisted thoracic surgical repair of a paraoesophageal hernia is described. The advantage of the procedure was the combination of th e diagnostic and therapeutic facility characteristic of a transthoraci c approach without exposing the patient to the morbidity of formal tho racotomy.
