The chemical diffusion coefficient in nonstoichiometric manganous sulp
hide Mn1-yS was measured as a function of temperature (1073-1373 K) an
d sulphur activity (10(-2)-10(3) Pa) using the electrical conductivity
reequilibratian method. It has been shown that this coefficient is in
dependent of the sulphide composition (defect concentration) and can b
e described by the following empirical relation: ($) over tilde DMnS=3
