Abstract
Cylindrically symmetric filtration flows of a two-plane ''gas-condensa te'' type mixture with phase transitions are considered. A sufficient test of absolute stability in the small in the case of steady flows is found subject to certain assumptions, the strongest of which is that there is no mobility threshold for the liquid phase. It is shown, by n umerical estimates, that this stability test is satisfied in the case of real filtration flows. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
