Abstract
We give necessary conditions for the Fourier transform of the time evo lution operator of kicked systems, modulated along the Thue-Morse sequ ence, to present Dirac's delta functions. The case of two-level system s is analysed in detail and it is found-based on the trace map and num erical investigations-that generically its time evolution has no quasi -periodic component.
