Abstract
Glenn's method of orthogonal polynomial coefficient is described for t he determination of IDPH-8261 (methyl alpha-methyl-4-(3-thienyl)benzen e acetate), a potent nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agent developed by IDPL Research Centre, Hyderabad, India. The quadratic polynomial coeff icient has been found to bear a linear relation in the concentration r ange of 2 to 20 mcg per ml of the drug, whereby the absorbance has bee n measured at eight points equally spaced at 4 nm interval over the wa velength range of 252 to 280 nm.
