Abstract
Selection for clean fleece weight, fertility and fleece rot in Austral ian Merinos, bred in a relatively worm free environment, has not resul ted in any apparent correlated responses in faecal egg count (FEC). Th e Weaning Weight Plus line had a significantly lower FEC than the Minu s line which suggests a favourable correlated response in FEC. Genetic correlations between FEC and production traits were not significantly different from zero.
