The high-resolution stimulated Raman spectrum of F-2 has been recorded
with a quasi cw technique. Q branches of the fundamental and first ho
t band have been fully resolved. Forty-one transitions of the Q branch
of the fundamental up to J = 43 have been measured, in addition to 21
transitions of the O and S branches of this band. Twenty-one transiti
ons of the Q branch of the first hot band up to J = 27 have also been
measured. From the analysis of these data a more accurate set of molec
ular parameters for the v = O, v = 1, and v = 2 states of this molecul
e has been derived. From our data and some previous fluorescence data
a new set of equilibrium parameters is also proposed. (C) 1994 Academi
