Kl. Braun et Cl. Rose, TESTING THE IMPACT OF A CASE-MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ON CAREGIVER APPRAISAL, Journal of gerontological social work, 21(3-4), 1994, pp. 51-69
This study tested the impact of a case managed, in-home services progr
am on caregivers' perceptions of burden, satisfaction, and health. Ove
r their first 6 months with the program, caregivers reported spending
less time in patient care activities. Subjective burden and symptoms w
ere reduced initially, but climbed to original levels by the 6-month r
eassessment. Satisfaction scores did not change significantly. Social
work's role in the program is discussed.
