B. Nageris et al., FIBROSACROMA OF THE VOCAL FOLD - A LATE COMPLICATION OF RADIOTHERAPY, Journal of Laryngology and Otology, 108(11), 1994, pp. 993-994
The carcinogenic effect of ionizing radiation is a well known phenomen
on. However, the induction of malignancies following irradiation for h
ead and neck cancers is quite rare (Steeves and Vataini, 1982). Most r
eported cases are osteogenic sarcomas with soft tissue sarcomas encoun
tered less often. We report a rare case of fibrosarcoma of the larynx,
following radiation therapy for glottic carcinoma.
