NEUTRON-CAPTURE RADIOGRAPHY OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF BORON IN NORMAL AND DEFORMED MANGO FRUITS

Boron concentration profiles in normal and deformed mango fruits were obtained using neutron capture radiography. The results were not consi stent with the hypothesis that fruit deformation was a consequence of boron deficiency. The possible occurrence of an excess of boron was in fact more likely.
