Abstract
At present, three main physical methods are available for the analytic al imaging of nitrogen isotopes in biological samples: Neutron capture radiography (NCR), Secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) and Nuclear microprobe analysis (NMA). The performances of these three methods ha ve been compared with one another, using identical samples of soybean plants. These plants were, or were not, supplied previously with (N-15 )nitrate.
