Abstract
The analysis of the title compound, (2,2-dimethylpropanoyl)ethyl]cyclo pentadenyl}iron, [(C5H5)Fe{(C5H4)CH2CH(COCMe(3))(2)}], shows that it e xists in the solid state in the diketo form; there is no evidence at a ll for any keto-enol tautomeric contribution to the ground-state struc ture.
