Abstract
The structure of the title compound, (C20H15N2)[AuBr3], has been deter mined. It consists of two anions, [AuBr4](-) and [AuBr2](-), attached to two 3,3'-dimethylene-2,2'-biquinolinium (or 6,7-dihydro-benzo[2,1-b :3,4-b']diquinolium cations by hydrogen bonds.
