Abstract
The whole molecule of 4-pentaene-12-oxo-15,16-epoxy-18,19;20(7)-diolid e, C20H18O6, adopts a T-shaped conformation. The methyl groups on the gamma-lactone ring are related synclinally and the crystal packing is entirely the result of van der Waals forces.
