Oxidation temperatures and times of Fe3O4 to produce (Co,Zn)-doped gam
ma-Fe2O3 particles were examined in this study to relate these two par
ameters to void, particle sizer saturation magnetization, coercivity,
and squareness. The effect of Zn/Co ratio on magnetization and coerciv
ity of the particles was also studied. The partial substitution of Zn
for Co in Co-gamma-Fe2O3 increased the sigma value and environmental s
tability, but decreased the H-i(c) and the squareness of gamma-Fe2O3.
