In this paper, we discuss an accurate and effective nonlinearity measu
rement method that is generalized from the frequency domain method pro
posed by Y.S. Tang and C. Tsang. The new method discussed here offers
the following features. It can test any recording density by observing
only one fired frequency. This method can be used to study nonlineari
ties due to interactions between two transition groups such as a tribi
t interacting with a single transition. By following a general rule gi
ven in this paper, one can construct a recording pattern that simultan
eously satisfies code constraints measurement of nonlinearities. There
fore, nonlinearity measurement on a HDA.
