Abstract
The development of an electronically controlled fuel injection system is important to reduce the emissions and noise from the diesel engine. In order to design a high response magnetic solenoid actuator which i s used for the fuel injection system, an optimal design of magnetic ci rcuit is required. In this paper, a practical software using the 3-D f inite element method with edge element is developed. The software is a pplied to the analysis of an actuator taking into account the eddy cur rent and the motion of armature.
