The influence was studied of applying an external magnetic field on th
e microstructure and on the microwave magnetic and dielectric properti
es of thin-film absorbing structures containing two types of magnetic
fillers. The frequency spectra between 7 and 17 GHz were obtained of t
he complex magnetic permeability mu() and the complex dielectric perm
ittivity epsilon(). A strong dependence was established of the compos
ite's magnetic losses on the internal anisotropy field of the fillers.
When the polymer containing a highly anisotropic filler was prepared
in the presence of an external magnetic field, structural changes were
observed that affected composite's dieIectric and magnetic properties
.
