Abstract
We have formulated the operation of a drop-on circulator in which a fe rrite disc is directly placed on top of a dielectric substrate. The ca vity model has been applied both to the ferrite disc and the dielectri c region below and around the ferrite disc. Three circulators were fab ricated using design parameters calculated by our theory. The measurem ents are in reasonable agreement with predicted performance of the dev ice.
