Abstract
a new class of magnetic filters - magnetic cage filters (MCFs) - was d esigned and constructed. These filters were studied theoretically and experimentally as far as the capture and retention of fine particles o f crud is concerned. High values of capture efficiency and retention c apacity were obtained, making the MCFs well suited as passive magnetic filters for power station applications.
